Travel in Liverpool
Liverpool has many transport links that allow people to get in and around the city very easily. Liverpool has two main train stations: Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool Central with direct trains to both Manchester and London. As well as this, Liverpool has a its own Merseyrail which spans across the whole of Liverpool. This service includes 68 stations and 78 miles of track, it even has four underground stations in the centre of the city!
As Liverpool is a city by the sea, there are many ferries that arrive into the city, bringing in materials and revenue to the city and also easy transport links to the Isle of Man and Ireland.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is also accessible from the city centre and transports around 5 million passengers a year. Therefore, all of these travel links make Liverpool very accessible to the rest of the country, driving more people to move there.
